Digital X-Ray Technology
Do you
give a tight-lipped smile in order to hide the appearance of
your teeth? Are you self-conscious of your silver fillings?
Are your teeth too short, too far apart, or stained?
Millions of people undergo cosmetic dentistry every
year to improve the appearance and health of their mouth and
smile.
Our
new Digital X-Ray
system uses computer technology to provide large,
sharp images of our patient's teeth. The systems use a
sensor that is placed in the mouth, where it reacts to the
x-ray emission much like the way a video camera records
light and forms an image.
Your
dental health is important. Brushing your teeth, flossing
your teeth, and using a mouthwash or dental rinse all
contribute towards a healthy mouth. However, regular dental
examinations and teeth cleanings are equally important for
maintaining healthy strong teeth and gums. By taking care of
your teeth throughout your life, you give yourself a better
chance of having healthy teeth and gums well into old age.
Please remember to brush after meals and to floss daily.
Sealants are a thin
plastic coating that is painted on the tooth surface to fill
in grooves and pits. The coating is hardened to protect the tooth from decay. Read More...
